Going home

On our last day we just jumped out of bed about 8 and got going. Here is the girls waiting for me to pull the car around. We drove straight through, like we usually do, and got home around 8. We were tired but ready to get home, as you can tell from this pic of Carson. We had a blast. Kelly is already planning next year's trip. I told her to chill for a little while until I recover from this year's.

On our last night we drove to Pigeon Forge. There is so much to do there we could make a whole separate vacation there. They are building a huge replica of the Titanic. We will have to go back when it's done. We went to Wonderworks which is just a huge assortment of pretty much anything you would ever want to do. Me and Hannah got in the "Hurricane Room" in which we experienced winds at about 100 miles per hour. Kelly and Hannah got in the "Earthquake Cafe" where they got to feel what an earthquake would feel like. It also had videogames and laser tag. Pigeon Forge was filled with this kind of stuff. Pretty cool.

The Smokies had some absolutely beautiful scenery. The water was so cool. Morgan can tell you, because she accidentally fell in. That's why she's got that look on her face. Would have been funny if Kelly had fell in. That would have been a good picture.

We went to the highest point in the Smokies. We drove most of the way and then had to hike half a mile the rest of the way. It was very steep and were completely exhausted, especially with carrying Carson. It was in the low 60's up there and felt great.

Putt Putt

On the last morning , we went golfing. We started actually trying to keep score, but we gave that up pretty quickly and just tried to have fun. Tiger Woods could take some lessons from Carson.

Here's some shots from Rock City and the boat in Chattanooga. Carson was just learning to walk so we had to watch him pretty closely so he didn't fall and break something. One pic is of Carson chillin' by the pool in Gatlinburg. The water was COLD.

Gatlinburg had an awesome Ripley's Aquarium with some great exhibits and a tunnel that rides underneath the aquarium. Here's Carson flirting with the ladies.

Best day ever-Ghostbusters car!

Yeah, that's right. We got to see the Ecto-1, or as some call it, the Ghostbusters car. We weren't allowed to get in it, but the window was down, and I was going to sneak Carson in to get his picture but Kelly put her foot down on that. Too bad. That would have been a great picture to show him when he gets older. Maybe next time. It was at a cars museum with a ton of actual cars from movies in Gatlinburg. The Smoky Mountains were cool , but this was my personal favorite. The Back the Future car was there too. They had it roped or I WOULD have got in that one.

Chattanooga-Rock City and Riverboat

Had a blast the next day. We went to Rock City and that evening we ate dinner on a riverboat while going down the river. That bridge is a lot scarier than it looks, especially when you're scared to death of heights and there's teenagers rocking it back and forth. Was glad to get back on solid ground after that.

Polar bears and eating out in Memphis

Here is the Polar bear. It just swam around and around. We ate out that night at a restaurant called Bahama Breeze. Nice atmosphere.

Tennessee pics

We had an awesome time in Tennessee. It was so nice to get out of the 100 degree and into the 70's and to see some beautiful views. The girls had a great time, and Carson was so good. Last time we went on vacation he was just two months old and slept most of the time. We were a little bit worried this go around because he was so much older, but he was a great kid. Must take after his dad. Here are some pics of us crossing into Tennesee and going down Beale Street in Memphis. Has some great BBQ that day. Went to the Memphis Zoo afterwards. Got to see Polar and Panda bears.
